THE SHOW DAY
15th June 2009
Well got into College first thing we had a rehearsel just my CD with my tracks on did not work so i started panacking and after the fact that i did not perform at the last show it just made me look like i planned that to happen. So i was clever before leaving home i uploaded my tracks to my server so i could re-download them at anypoint needed. I ran to the learning centre bought a disk and used the lovely ladsy computer to burn my tracks to the disk. And yesss it worked the songs were playing i rehearsed both tracks and found them easy cause i knew the lyrics and everything also i got loads of support from my teacher Paullett who gave me alot of confidence.
I must say out of all the places i have performed that was the most nerve wrecking one, i really was nervous big time! But it was a success everyone performed great and after all the stresses it was a major success and i was also well happy with my performance here is a video of me performing "Breathe Easy" on the day.

College Show Part 10
10th June 2009
Up untill this point we had not rehearsed i came in on rehearsels and not once did George and Kieren want to rehearse with me they had sorted one track of theres out which was a heavy metal original of which i was not included on. So i took measures and a week before the show asked Jason could i do backing vocals on teenage dirty bag with his band. I also spoke to my tutors and asked whether i could bring in some backing tracks as i am use to performing with them and know many songs including all the lyrics and also i knew even thought it was a week before the show i could easily pull it off and show the College that i can perform on stage well and show them that i am a good performer.
So i thought of singing my song which im known for singing on the gay scene and have sung it in many clubs/bars in Central London the song is called "Breathe Easy" originally by Blue i knew this is one of the best songs i could perform on the day. Along side of this i needed to perform a song which was more lively and up beat so i picked the track "Sex on Fire" by "The Kings Of Leon" which went down a treat too as i rehearsed this on the Wednesday (today) and made sure i learned all the lyrics.

College Show Part 9
27th April 2009
Nerijus has finally given up on the show me and him met up during the week and he spoke to me and practically said he is not going to be in College for the show. This left myself and Aaron lossed considering George and Kieren never came in anyway and now after Nerijus wants nothing to do with the show there was no way Aaron and myself were going to be able to talk George and Kieren round to doing the tracks we had already agreed on. So no rehearsels were done today, although i spoke to Aaron and told him to get on tracks with other people just for his security this was something i should of done earlier on too but as this point after all the hassel i had no idea whether i was staying on the course or not.

College Show Part 8
22nd April 2009
Ok Nerijus finally realised just how reliable George and Kieren were when they didn't turn up for rehearsels today so we went back to practasing our normal songs we had already agreed on. Nerijus left half way thorugh due to us needing more rehearsel time in the Live Room but we was moved into the drum room where there was not enough amps.

College Show Part 7
20th April 2009
The whole band is in apart from Kieren, George finally brang something up about the band and was re-considering changing the songs of which myself and Aaron were really not happy with as the songs he was suggesting was not in our range i mean im a singer i dont scream trying to sound like some devil worshipping bermondsey guitar player (hint hint - George). Nerijus seemed to be inbetween two minds on this as Nerijus is also into this heavy rock stuff which annoyed me even more considering we had been rehearsing the tracks we have chosen.
Slowly and sure me and Aaron started to feel as though we were being pushed out of the band due to Lucas was always on drums and secondly George was the only person who could scream to the tracks which left Aaron and myself sort of clueless on what we were doing.
By this point everyone else had some songs learned and ready for the show and we were left feeling like all our rehearsing or what we had done and called rehearsing had gone to waste.

College Show Part 6
15th April 2009
After Monday's bad rehearsels again everything is still falling to pieces Nerijus is not really stable enough to be here i guess he has had enough of College so this has put me and Aaron under some stress as it is not like we have George and Kieren to back us up Nerijus is really the core to our band being the lead guitarist and all. We didn't get anything rehearsed as much as i shout and try talking to them they don't listen therefor i get stressed and ended up walking out of rehearsels.
UPDATE - I managed to talk Nerijus round to staying in College so hopefully Monday our rehearsels will go back to normal!

College Show part 5

Ok once again rehearsel time everyone has turned up just didn;t get much rehearsels done considering all some band members want to do is sit there and jam and not take anything seriously which has really annoyed me but hey we can't always work with people who are mature enough to do the tasks in hand.
Generally Aaron, nerijus and myself practased "Pain" another track we are doing which we again like our other Nickelback track has practically nailed. Although i am starting to think whether Nerijus, Aaron and myself should start considering ourselves our own band and let Kieren and George get on with there own stuff as they do not really care and we do.

College Show update part 4
8th April
Well this Wednesday George was not in for re-hearsal and neither was Kieren. Aaron turned up as well as Nerijus and myself did we practased "Got to be somebody" by Nickleback of hwich we have practically nailed Aaron is fine on drums on this track and my vocals are ok too. Nerijus's pedal for his guitar makes everything sound just like the original track as well considering on the original track at the beggning of the song there is some sound effects on the guitar.
We just mainly want George and Kieren to start attending more rehearsels so we know what we are doing.

College show update 3

Bit of a late update but last Wednesday the 29th of July we had re-hearsels altho we tried to get as much done as possible just i was not feeling to well and went home. I repeatedly rang my tutor on her mobile and also rang the office but as usual no answere or sign that they got my message not really my problem. To others who come here sorry about this message there will be a independent page soon for these Show rehearsals so it doesn't interfere with my usual work.

College Band Rehearsals part 2
1st April 2009
As you know we are putting on a show at Southwark College in less than two months. We have been going over our songs as much as possible trying to learn them in time. It is going ok apart from one or two things but let's carry on with part two of the rehearsals!
Ok Monday just gone we all rehearsed our tracks this time with nearly a full band! Yes that's right it was shock horror when George turned up let alone him having a guitar on his back! Kieren was not very well that day but everyone else was in. Lucky enough George had already learned the guitar chords to "Phantom of the Opera" by Nightwish it is a brilliant rock rendition of the classic song and is also very challenging to play as well as sing due to its mixture of high and low vocals. Our other songs are coming along we have already nailed our version of "Got to be somebody" by Nickelback and also "Pain" by Three days grace. Both of which are brilliant songs and easy to learn.

College Show! Part 1

Finally got my login details for this site yay! Recently i have not been updating this site as been busy with college work yes college work im now a student :) It is better than saying "unemployed" or "lazy" and when you say student it makes you sound interesting and intelligent i think and gives you something to talk about especially if you are in general a boring person. As we go on and i start talking about the subject at hand and why i am blogging again i will say this.
Please ignore my bad spelling i am typing extremely fast and not thinking about it much i will correct it as time goes on :)
We have been set the task of putting on a live show in college where we all have to perform live as a band. This is part of that assignment and it shows the college that we are rehearsing and is classed as evidence (sounds like a court case i know) so below is my first blog which is late due to me needing to recover my login details.

Monday 30th March 2009
We practised two of out tracks as well as getting all the tracks wrote down and made sure we all agreed on them so there was no changes in song ideas. I have decided to play bass on a few of the tracks considering we are not sure where one of our guitarist's were and if they are coming back to the college or not so in this case Kieren would play with Nerijus on guitar and i would do some songs on bass as well as do the vocals. The track we practased were:
Nickelback - Got to be somebody
Three days Grace - Pain
Nickleback i picked up on bass easily and i know most the lyrics anyway so that went smoothly. The only thing we need to improve is building confidence when playing it and piecing everything together smoothly so it doesn't sound like it is all a mess. If anything the band as a whole know there parts and roles on this track so this is nearly complete now.
The next track we practased was a track by Three days grace called "pain" this track is great and one of our favourites. Aaron suggested this track and since then we love it and it is fun performing it. For me the vocals are easy and not too high which is good so i don't wearout my vocals before the other songs we perform also the bass tabs are a tad more complex but because the vocals are easy it gives me more time to focus on the bass playing. The guitaring is harder i think than some of our other songs and Nerijus is handling it really well considering at the moment he is our only guitarist. Aaron on drums is fine and just like us so far very capable of handling the songs.
I expect as we start to rehearse our other tracks we may come across some confusion especially as we are doing like seven songs and i also have to perform another two tracks because i missed the last show.
